This week in Summary

Investing Tip of the week

Winter Weather Tips:

  1. If you have vacant houses in areas where it might freeze, save your water pipes by winterizing your property. If the vacancy is temporary, you may want to leave the heat on and a faucet dripping. If longer term, consider turning off the water to the house, then opening the faucets and running the water out of the lines. Dig further for what is appropriate for your area.

  2. It’s or maybe impossible to paint exteriors in cold weather. In more northern climates, all exterior work may grind to a halt during deep freezes. Plan your calendar accordingly.

  3. In the more temperate zones, subject to only occasional freezing conditions, you might be able to continue the project but should build extra time into your schedule and expectations.

Joke of the Week

Here’s a bunch of Snowman Jokes:

  1. What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire? Frostbite.
  2. What do you call a snowman who vacations in the tropics? A puddle.
  3. Why was the snowman looking through the carrots? He was picking his nose.
  4. What do snowmen wear on their heads? Ice caps.
  5. What happened when the snowgirl broke up with the snowboy? She gave him the cold shoulder.
  6. How does a snowman lose weight? He waits for the weather to get warmer.
  7. What do you call a snowman with a six pack? An abdominal snowman.
  8. Why did the snowman turn yellow? Ask the little boy over there.
  9. Why did the snowman want a divorce? Because his wife was a total flake.
  10. Why did the snowman call his dog Frost? Because Frost bites.

The Flipping America Show

Episode 573 House Flipping With Bruce, Part Two

November 21, 2022
I don’t encourage everyone to drop what they are doing and start flipping houses. But someone listening to my voice right now is going to start flipping houses and change your life.

Thank you to everyone who made my book, “Flipping Houses in Ten Days” an international number 1 bestseller. And if you don’t have it yet, just put bit.ly/10dayflipper into your browser and it will take you to the Amazon page where you can order it. You can still get the Kindle version for free if you act quickly.

House Flipping is going to make a comeback in 2023. Opportunities will be more plentiful and I predict that you will even be buying REOs from the MLS like in the good ole’ days. No wait – that might be going too far. But maybe…

Last time we started a conversation with Bruce Glenn about Flipping Houses. This time we will finish it.  He is a master house flipper and licensed appraiser from Birmingham, AL. We will conclude that conversation in a few minutes.

BREAKING OPPORTUNITY: If you or someone you know is a cash buyer in Florida, I have 1300 properties for an average of less than 35% of ARV. If you buy them all, it would be around $185M for properties valued around $600M. You can buy less, but there is a $10M minimum. This is for the major players. Call 404-369-1018 NOW if you can close by the end of the year.

The Flipping America REIA will be back in January. Meetings have ended for 2022.
