Introduction
Ready, Set…
I know you want to dive right in, so I promise not to make this intro stuff too long. Er, well, I will do my best. But a few things I want you to know.
- If you don’t learn this stuff, it’s my fault. This responsibility is more difficult for me to own in an online course. In a classroom setting I would just back up, explain it again, use different examples or teaching techniques. But in this setting I can’t. So if you don’t get it, don’t blame yourself. Mark it up to learning styles and PLEASE send an email or get on the next Coaching call and let me know what I need to explain differently or more thoroughly. I will answer your questions, and if enough people are asking, I’ll add lessons to the course.
- There will be quizzes. Don’t panic!! These quizzes are not designed to evaluate you. They serve two other purposes:
- To reinforce the learning through practical problem solving.
- To evaluate how well I’m doing as your instructor.
- Relax. Take your time going through the lessons. You might want to zoom through all of them and then come back again. You have unlimited access to the material and repetition does more for memory than any other technique.
- There is an order to this material, but also a scope and sequence consideration. That’s teacher jargon for built-in repetition of some concepts. This isn’t an editing accident. I’m going to go over a few things more than once. Why? See #3, above. Repetition.
- I’m about to tell you what I’m going to tell you. Then I’m going to tell you. And then I’m going to tell you what I told you.
So here is what I’m going to tell you. As a participant in this course you will:
- Hear the truth about real estate investing;
- Learn key formulas for analyzing deals;
- Learn how to look at a deal thoroughly;
- Learn how to make $5000 in the next 30 days;
- Learn how to know if the numbers work;
- Hear how to to look outside the numbers;
- Learn three ways to figure repairs;
- Hear about ten sources for possible deals;
- Know four ways to fund a deal;
